Another trip and convention…

Last week I was away attending our National Convention for the Professional Photographers in Canada. Basically it’s photographers from all over Canada meeting once a year at a convention for a series of seminars and awards night. This year it was taking place at the Fairmount in Mont Tremblant. Weather was not great but it was still fun to see all my friends from across the country.The convention lasted 4 days but I had to attend 2 days of meetings prior to the convention with the Federal Council. Federal Council is made up of every President and Vice President of each province ( I’m the Vice President of Ontario ). We meet and discuss how things are going with our association, what is working and how we can improve things.

My friend Mike Long was one of the speakers at the convention. He’s from Portland Oregan and not only is he a great photographer but he’s also a great speaker. He was going to be doing a live session during his seminar and needed a couple of models. I was able to get a friend of mine, Melissa to come to Tremblant to be a model. I really want to thank her for doing this. I met Melissa a few years ago when I did her wedding and I’ve also done her family photos ( one of my favorite photo ever, the couple with the baby in the water ). It took a lot of guts to model in front of a room of professional photographers from across Canada when you’ve never done that before but Melissa did incredible. Mike totally loved working with her.
